What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?

“If you’re going to do something, do it right the first time.”

Who are your greatest musical influences?

Beethoven, his mastery of notes still marvels people 200 years later.

What do you find to be the most difficult thing to do musically?

Play what I hear in my head. To get my thoughts into a tangiable form is a feat I wish I could do on a consistent basis. I’d like to think there are some good things rolling around up there and if I somehow capture them, I’d be pleased.

What’s the greatest compliment you have ever received in music?

Once in college a professor told me that I posses the “feeling for music that can’t be taught.” He continued “Notes and rhythm can be taught, feeling just is or isn’t”

What’s you goal for 2005?

Discipline.
