Playing more than 200 shows, the Ben Shippee Band toted their all-original blend of acoustic-rock all over the northeast. They played nearly every music venue in their home state of New Hampshire and took up regular gigs in Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, and New York.
Early 2003 saw the solidifying of the lineup of the band with Justin Bigelow on drums/vocals, Dan Desmarais on keyboards/vocals, Sam Ostrow on bass/vocals and Ben Shippee on guitar/lead vocals. The diverse personalities melded instantly to create a tightly fused sound. Ranging from energetic get up out of your seat rock & roll sets to intimate acoustic performances spotlighting the bands delicate harmonies, the live shows paint a picture with each song performed.
In late 2004 the band joined company with established industry veteran Mark Eddinger to begin pre-production on much of their material. This relationship further tightened the sound and performances of the band while teaching them valuable lessons in the studio.
The steady improvement of the live performance made the band a must see. Performances were described as soulful, electrifying, high energy, and inspiring. The Band played their final official show on March 10, 2006 but can be found in various combinations and occasionally as the full lineup haunting the venues of the northeast.
